Guys, USPS now has a new service you have to sign up for:  Informed Deliveryr.  They will email you a list (WITH PICS) of whats in your mailbox NOW.  The pics show the letters on the address side.  They also provide a day and time frame (pretty wide) for smart post package/letter delivery to your mail box.  Options include sending it to cell phone as a Message and/or email.

Most of the time this is kind of silly,  but when you're looking for a "USPS Mail Box package" it's often beneficial.

Yep, the Informed Delivery is pretty cool.  Everyday I get emailed pics of all the junk mail which will arrive in my mail box later in the day  :P

It is nice though, when you are expecting something.

Still nothing yet. Guess paying the few extra bucks for shipping would have been better. Hate having purhases just floating around out there not knowing if they are lost or not.

My mailbox is at the end of the street,  so this service let's me know if I give a darn about today's mail. O0
It also has given me an expected arrival date for Smart Posts,  OR if they are delayed enroute somewhere.

I don't think it has even made it to usps yet. And since the tracking number is broke, I guess a call to fedex may be in order.

This is exactly how that system works ...terrible.

Both FedEx & UPS have one I think UPS is called surepost

What they do is drive your order all the way from where ever it originated to the last possible stop...but not your address.
They then hand it to USPS for their cheapest possible surface only postage

It really is a cruel joke of a service<sic>

You should see how bad it is if you order from say NY & live in Hawaii
Takes a week or more to drive it to California where it is put on a Ship via cheap postage USPS
Then a few more weeks to Hawaii etc etc

Overall takes like 6 weeks for us if any shipper is crazy enough to use smart-ship or sure-post

Shippers need to realize USPS Priority flat rate is FAST 3 days & cheap if using their free flat rate boxes.

But most shippers are seduced into using UPS or FedEx because they pick up or they have an account
Also many shippers do not know how bad/slow these cheap services are

Let them know  ;)

Y-E-S!!!

However, a lot depends on your hometown service. FedEx is really bad here in Pensacola & UPS is Awesome. When I was in Baton Rouge, FedEx was awesome & UPS was flakey. USPS here is the pits & BR they were just ok.
As a combo, they are crap...

Well called fedex and they can't do anything because the tracking number is screwed up. CZ can't do anything cause the tracking number is screwed up and out of their hands. I bet usps can't do anything. I will check with them but we are going on 3 weeks this wednesday. Guess I will give it a month and if nothing happens then dispute it through credit card and reorder the items.

Finally found out what the deal was. Had to call CZ's LEO division who tracked down the order.  My credit card was declined because I was right in the middle of switching accounts for fraudulent charges.  Don't know why the shipping department couldn't tell me that and said that it was shipped on 3-7-18.  I guess they charge the card when they ship out the items.  He redid the order with the new card and all should be good. They have my phone number and email on the account through CZ, wish someone would have given me a heads up.
