grip sizes question
« on: January 26, 2021, 06:33:54 PM »
Okay. So I managed to pick up a 75B Omega Urban Gray suppressor ready. I really like the feel and fit of the grip on this bad boy. But then I decided that while beautiful, it would be more practical to have one of the compact models.
SO my next visit to the Gun Show yielded a P07 OD green. But this one really does not fit my hand well. I am a woman, small frame & hands. Even with the smallest back on the grip it is too big for me. I measured the circumference of the 75B vs the P07 and yeah, the 75B is not as big around.

So here is my question: does anyone know if the grip on the PCR D is more the size around as the 75B or big and clunky like the P07?
Also, I am a southpaw.

And now I have a brand new 75B Omega ... AND a brand new P07 -- which I do not want either.

The PCR grip is basically the same as the 75 grip, just shorter.

If you have smaller hands, the 75 series works good with the CGW reach reduction kit.  Otherwise, factory to factory, the Omega series trigger has a shorter reach than the 75 series.

The PCR (decocker, aluminum frame) and the CZ75 Compact (safety, steel frame) are the compact (smaller-shorter barrel and shorter grip/frame) than the full sized CZ75B and CZ75BD models.

The PCR or CZ75 Compact will feel very much like your full sized pistol but the grip/frame will not stick as far down below your hand/pinky finger.

I have some full sized CZ75 types and some Compacts.  If I don't carry my P07 it's a Compact that gets carried (P01 Omega or CZ75 Compact).  They (the compacts) are good pistols.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Thank you for the feedback.

So is the P01 grip size similar to the PCR or Compact? Cuz I am also looking at the P01 Omega.

But I really like the sleek lines of the 75s. I really don't care for the chunky P07. I really do not care for an accessory rail.

Thank you, Dawwwwg!

So maybe the P01 Omega is the gun I should hold out for.  Is it substantially chunkier the PCR?  It *looks* less chunky than the P07.

The PCR and P01 will feel the same.

As will the compact, but it will be heavier.  If you do not like rail, that leaves the steel framed compact with a safety or the alloy framed PCR with decocker.

Thank you again, to all who offered advice.  So yeah. I need to hold out for a PCR D.

While the size of the grip is the same for the PCR, Compact or P01, I find I really like the feel of the P01 grip better.

For some reason those little vertical grooves in the grip frame make if feel better in my hand than the pistols without the grooves.

I've also found I like those soft rubber factory grips vs. the hard plastic ones.

P01's:  The original is decocker only.  The P01 Omega has a different internal parts set and can be set up for ambidextrous decocking levers (comes that way from the factory) or ambidextrous thumb safeties (in a small bag in the box with instructions in the owner's manual on how to change from decocker levers to safeties.)
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

But..... Know that since you are a South paw, the P01 Omega is the only one of the 4 mentioned that is ambidextrous. If that makes a difference.
Doh! M1A4ME already covered that. [emoji23]

Thank you all. Your'e the best!  So my next question is: how much difference is there in the reach between a stock trigger on say the PCR D or the P01 versus the trigger on the P01 Omega?

Can’t answer to the Omega, but I don’t notice any difference between PCR and P01.
