Good in-ear models worth the $

Been doubling up in competition and don't midnd doing so using regular foam plugs and my HL Impact Pros (got gel inserts from Amazon which made them really comfortable). I've had a lot better luck and hearing protection personally with the $40 black ones than the $50 green ones, as well.

Thinking of going to the next level for my ear pro and was looking for any in-ear suggestions - or does everyone suggest doubling up anyway?

I recently switched to Decibullz moldable plugs (with foams instead of the silicon ones) for outdoor use. Even next to a .338 Lapua with big brake it was fine.

I shoot a lot of USPSA, 3-gun, and even some PRS.  Two years ago I treated myself to a set of custom molded SoundGear in-ear electronic hearing protection.  Got them from a fellow USPSA shooter who runs House of Hearing in St. George UT.  I can send you his contact info. 

The best news is when I checked with House of Hearing my insurance covered the entire price of the ear pro.  Then again I work in a job where hearing protection is often required...
