Threaded barrels for the CZ 75
« on: September 14, 2018, 08:33:33 PM »
So I picked up a CZ 75 Tactical since I had heard that threaded barrels have to be fitted.

Is that true? What type of fitting is required?

I have some cans coming.

Found this while doing a search for older threads on fitting barrels to CZ75's.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I think that's the same (or at least similar) guide that I used. I'm not a professional gun smith, but was able to fit the suppressed barrel with a ceramic file. It fits really nice and tight in the CZ75, and because of the tighter lock-up, it shoots much tighter groups than with the stock barrel.

Just a word of caution. You can take metal off with the file, but you can't put it back. :)  Make sure you work on small increments, especially when you get close to proper fit. File away too much and your barrel will get sloppy, and the only way to fix that is to buy another barrel and try again.

I thought this was a pretty good write up though I would emphasize Dykem and patience are your friend. Keep marking up your part after a few passes with a file and repeat. This is how you insure you don't take to much off and end up with a sloppy fit.
