P07 Sights
« on: April 11, 2018, 11:34:55 AM »
I've got a new P07 that is in need of some sights. I'm looking for input and hopefully some pictures of what yall have on your P07/9s. My edc P10 is sporting a Dawson F/O and a blacked out rear, which I like outdoors in the sunlight, but IMO leaves a bit to be desired indoors and lower light situations.  I've got a set of the Ameriglo Agent sights on a Glock 19 that I really like.  They have a tritium front with an orange outline (very bright) and a serrated rear with plain tritium lamps (no outline or color to the rears).  Something like these would be ideal for me, but as far as I know there aren't any similar options. So, let's see what ya got!

If you expect to be in low light situations, you may want to consider mounting a light on your P-07 due to the need to identify your target.  If you mount a light, then you can put a fiber optic front and blacked out rear just like on your P-10c!

Great info from CZ team member Mike Pannone...

I sent Ameriglo an email about CZ sights two weeks ago and was told they are in the works....possibly see them released this summer.

Any idea what type of sights they're coming out with?

I asked about P-07 sights and part of the reply was.."I have been told we are making CZ sights". Did not mention a specific model of CZ or give a known release date but the positive is that they do seem to be working on some CZ sights.

Spoke with a rep at Ameriglo.  He confirmed that CZ sights were being planned for this summer, but he wasn't sure for what pistols.  He also said that he believed they would be making standard night sights as well as their Spartan Operators.  Hopefully we'll know more soon!

Well there?s some good news, hope the P10 is included in that mix! Spartan Operators are my go to in other pistols. I?ve actually come to like the smaller orange front sight in my P10, but the fact that the tritium is so much dimmer than the rear drives me nuts!

Stopped at the Ameriglo booth at the NRA convention and they said the first sights that they knew of would befor the P-10C with others to follow or maybe released at the same time. P-10C was the only for sure model he mentioned.

When I bought my UG suppressor ready P07 I had the intention of swapping out the tall sights first thing. I have to say they are some of the brightest night sights I've ever seen. I can literally use them as a flashlight and was probably sterilized the first time I carried the gun. They also shot dead nuts for me on the first range trip.
All that aside I'll still change them out at some point as I don't need tall sights that may snag clothing on an EDC.
I'd ideally like a set of TG TFX or TFX pro's for my P07

I agree with Mifune, that a pistol mounted light makes almost any sights work better than just night sights alone. You also want a hand-held flashlight to identify who you are spot-lighting so that you don't use your pistol mounted light to light up a neighbor or police officer. I keep both hand held tac-light and pistol mounted light on my P-07 by my bedside. I use the hand held light to identify and the pistol mounted light if I need to defend. Most of the time I have to get up in the middle of the night, I am armed with a flashlight and a .22 rifle with varmint light to dispatch a raccoon, possum or armadillo around my home. But you want to identify your critter with a hand held light first, just to be safe and to keep you safe as well. I would imagine that your local LE officers might not be very understanding if you used a pistol mounted light to see them outside your home. But we are all smart enough to avoid that bad scene, aren't we?
