Question on where these two pistols would be classified
« on: August 18, 2018, 08:39:06 AM »
1) I have a Shadow 2. What would it be classified for USPSA and/or IDPA (if at all)?

2) I have an SP-01.  It?s factory but I did change out the trigger spring to make the trigger 9 lb/4lb.  What would that pistol be classified for in IDPA?

3) Same goes for my 75 Compact. Changed the springs similar to  item 2.

Thanks in advance.

Don't know about USPSA, but as for IDPA:

1.  The Shadow 2 is too heavy to qualify for any class.

2.  The SP-01 can be shot in SSP class as long as the stage is started with the pistol hammer down (first shot DA).  It can be shot in ESP class with the pistol started in Condition 1 (cocked and locked).

3.  The 75 Compact can be shot in SSP, CCP, or ESP.

In USPSA, the Shadow 2, SP-01, or 75 Compact could be shot in Production, Limited, Limited 10, or Open division.  It would make the most sense to shoot Production or Limited (Minor Powerfactor).
