back home.  been to the range three times. Perfection not here.  still having problems with rami.  200 rounds. worked well until last mag, then had three failures.   called rami they are sending me a recoil spring.  after maybe 500 rounds?  I'll give it a shot . Like Ive said before I want this to be my carry but she has to work.  Lou

The Rami recoil spring has been covered on here multiple times, the shortened CZ40, sub-compact Rami seems to be extra tough on the outer recoil spring. 500 rounds seems to be about the max before it starts to wear out. They're only $6 each, so most people buy multiple replacement springs, always keeping a fresh spring in for EDC / self defense and wearing out the others when practicing at the range. Some folks have experimented with Wolff springs on here and gotten better longevity.

Did you ever soak your Rami in a bucket of Hoppes #9 overnight to dissolve the usual overabundance of cosmoline from the factory? That can make a big difference in the pistol's reliability.

This is too much.  Fedex arrives as I am waiting, meet him at the truck and show him the package has been tampered with and empty. Fedex no help. CZ sending me a second spring.  Update to follow. Appreciate you responses.

Hello back with new results. Yes Kung flu has held us up.  Sent my rami back for third time .  FTE, FTF, spoke with Mike at CZ.  Received new Rami Friday 6-19-20.  Super apprehensive, but today at range fired about 150 rounds, mix of 115 wwb, 115 Winchester jhp, , aguila 124 target, hornady 135jhp.   Wow , I have a gun.  CZ has come through and replaced my CZ with  a new one that works. This is a carry pistol.

Glad you have a new gun now. If this is going to be your carry gun, I would think you will be loading it with some JHP ammunition. Try several JHP known brand ammo and stay away from the Russian, Yugoslav and other less known in the USA. if you find that one or two brands of ammunition are causing a FTF or FTE, stay away from those, but do not get discouraged.
In a short barrel pistol, cartridges with round ojive (profile) give the most trouble. The best I found out through the years are those loaded with XTP bullets. These bullets are shaped like a cone and tend to go right into the chamber withoug hanging on a loading ramp. There are at least two manufacturers that offer this type of a bullet in their ammunition selection. Look them up and good luck!
