Mcarbo 452/455 Trigger Spring
« on: September 13, 2018, 12:57:55 PM »
Asked at RimfireCentral but didnt get any responses. Has anyone tried the Mcarbo Spring vs the Yo Dave? The last CZ 452, I used a #2 Ace hardware spring, thought I might try something different. Didnt like the way the Yo Dave spring was larger in diameter and didnt fit the slot right. I know everyone says that doesnt matter but the Mcarbo spring is much closer to the right diameter, if it works as well or better. Thanks.

Tried them both and neither one would get UP to a 2 lb-8 oz pull. Got an extra CA replacement and cut/ground it to 2 lb-9 oz. Terrific and makes me happy.

Lesson learned, first cut off half of one coil. Then try it and take a quarter coil if necessary. Try it again and slightly grind it flat if necessary. Don't get it hot enough to take out the temper when grinding.
