18x1 vs 1/2x28 barrel dimensions

Does anyone know if the gen1 barrel dimensions differ from Gen 2?  Specifically the diameter after the threading and length of the threads.
I'm having an over the barrel mount made for a gen1 but I only have the gen2 in front of me.
