CZ 75 b straight trigger
« on: October 01, 2018, 08:43:29 PM »
Hi,
It looks like there a lot of new 75Bs available now on Gun Broker and I've been thinking about buying one. What I would want to do with it is smooth the action with a polishing job, lighten the pull.reduce the reach , and  put a straight trigger on it; I really like the way the straight trigger looks. Is it possible to put one of CGW's or CZ Customs straight triggers and keep it DA/SA? Or will the str. triggers only work on a D/A to SAO conversion?
                                 Thanks,
                                             Mark

Putting the straight trigger makes it SAO. If your looking for instructions there?s some how to videos pinned in the gun smithing section they are specific to SAO conversions. You can run a 13lb hammer spring without needing an extended firing pin and that should get your SA down to about 3.5 lbs.

If you bought a CZ75B OMEGA, what you could do is have Cajun Gun Works install a P-09 trigger in it.  The P-09 trigger is not totally straight, but it is much straighter than the standard CZ75 trigger.   I had it done and love it.

Come to think of it, mine is a 1st Gen 75B Omega and originally came with a curved trigger.  I think the new 75B Omegas might come with the "straighter" trigger.

And you get the simpler, more robust internals with the Omega version also.  But I heard that you can't quite get quite as good of a trigger job with the Omega version as you can with the original CZ75 design.
