Hello I got this Tanfoglio TZ-75 Series 88 pistol & am wondering if this extractor will work in it, thanks for all information.
IF there is a ridge, below the extractor, to help guide the base of the Cartridge up into the Slide BoltFace, then YES.
IF NOT, then NO.
A lot of the older Extractors and the original Cz75 Extractors had a Dogleg in the Blade to help guide the Cartridge, being fed from the Magazine up into the Slide BoltFace.
There has been a lot of variations of Extractors, and which one you use will depend upon exactly how the Slide BoltFace is cut.
For example, my Full Size Series 88 TA90 uses the old Doglegged Extractor, where as my Series 88 TA90 uses the Extractor without the Dogleg and has a Ridge in the Slide BoltFace that is below the Extractor to help guide in the next Cartridge.
IF you need a Doglegged Extractor, a Cz75 Extractor can be adapted by drilling out the Retention pin hole to the proper size that Tanfoglio uses.
In order to replace the Extractor on my Full Size TA90, I used a Pre-B Cz75 Extractor. Also, EAA may have the older Extractors in stock.
Also note that most Extraction issues are Extractor Spring related. I usually get a Wolff Extra Power Extractor Spring and fit it by clipping off one coil and install it.
Mild Polishing/honing the Extractor Retention Pin Hole can also help matters. Note, DO NOT remove much metal there!.
A mild polish of the rearward Extractor Face can also help.
A
mild bevel of the rearward Face of the Extractor Dogleg can also help
