PLEASE Help! CZ P07...
« on: October 15, 2018, 08:59:48 PM »
Edit:

Noob couldnt figure out how to get the bleeping pin back into the MS plug. I dont have the lanyard and was confused on which was the "slope" should be facing. IMO if I have it facing the 'right' way, its nearly impossible to get it down far enough - even with the screw/nail trick. For now i've just turned it around so the sharp part sticks out a little when installed. Will turn it around when I get another set of hands to help.

Sink a screw into a piece of wood so the head sticks up a quarter of an inch or so. Use that to push down on, once the holes line up you can push the pin in. It's been a while since I've done it, but the pin should go in pretty easy. If not, hold everything in place with a punch, then drive the punch out with the pin.

If you have a universal bench block, it should have a round nub sticking up on one side. A small 1/4 drive socket will fit on it. I think I keep a 3mm on mine. You can also use that to push in on the hammer spring plug.

Yes, this is a matter of getting the plug oriented properly and then pushing it in far enough to line everything up, and voila.  ;)

In a pinch I used the + tip of an old AA battery to push on it while I held the gun between my legs (I was wearing ballistic glasses), and it did the trick

If you have the lanyard loop its pretty easy if you use a block with a small hole - like a bench block as has been mentioned.  You can rotate the grip slightly to align the hole.  If NO lanyard loop, a block of wood with a small round head screw makes a good device - to slightly drive the mainspring cap in.

Trying to use a punch on the gun upside down is too hard.  Its like installing an engine in a car with the car upside down.  Not good.

This screw is for compressing the ejector/spring in an AR15 bolt but the same principal works for depressing the spring cup/lanyard loop on the CZ pistols.  The pin should push in easily with your finger tip when properly aligned.  Or push out for that matter.  But you need a punch to push it out, not hammer it out, just push.

edited - thought I put the picture in the post, evidently not.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Make sure the spring is on the piece that pushes against the hammer, I believe it is call hammer strut. Then proceed as described above.
