The CZ 97BD is worth telling the world about: you can be the first in your state!

PappaWheelie testimonial,
https://cz-usa.com/product/cz-97-bd-45-acp-black-aluminum-grips-3-dot-tritium-night-sights-10-rd-mags/"I'm convinced the CZ folks love both their craft and their customers. How else can one explain the fact that (after 106 days of special-order wondering if the reality could possibly match the anticipation) I'm a proud owner of THE coolest .45 ACP handgun extant, and yet it only cost a tad over 800 bucks? The reality of my new CZ 97 BD beats its anticipation hands-down, and that's saying something!
Its trigger is flawlessly smooth and crisp in SA mode (like a free, out of the box trigger job!), with very short reset and almost no over-travel between release and bottom-out, easily competitive with a top-of-the-line 1911, but with lighter pull. I really appreciate that with CZ's decocker functionality this delight isn't burdened by the risk of a potentially forgotten safety under duress of necessary action.
The "flat aluminum" grips dazzle with their glossy highlights of high-feed milling cut pattern, accentuated by CNC-milled CZ logo, itself also a touch of artistic genius. This kind of unexpected design/manufacturing excellence leaves the competition, frankly, in the dust. The grip's narrow width (28.7mm, 1-1/8") and that of the frame (25.5mm, 1") complement the even narrower (23.5mm!) slide, whose full-length internal rails contribute to the 97's legendary accuracy.
The narrow slide's elegant cross-section, tapering to even more narrow at its top, produces its center of mass exactly on the centerline of the firing pin bore, while the slide's considerable mass itself absorbs discharge energy such that only a very light recoil spring is needed. It's an incredibly soft shooter, with gentler felt recoil than any non-CZ 9mm (or .40 S&W) I've felt, even including the pneumatically-assisted Walther CCP, with which the CZ 97 BD's racking force, unbelievably, compares.
At the range, my first magazine produced a laterally centered 28 yard pattern only 4" in diameter, with its center ~3/4" above point of aim! As a CPL newbie having only recently learned how to sort out the multiple cross-eyed views of front sight focus, I'm duly impressed, and extremely pleased that the sights are spot-on from the factory.
Although my EDC weapon is the incomparable CZ 2075 RAMI BD, I'll doubly enjoy range time because of this fabulous new 45, and when it comes to home security (and bragging rights), the CZ 97 BD is clearly the ultimate weapon."
