SHARP beavertails??? (P09)
« on: October 18, 2018, 09:28:05 PM »
Does anyone YET have one of those 'cheap new' P09s - I've seen pics on the on-line retail stores and their beavertails look much sharper than the regular P09 we are used to - kinda like a Phantom or P07 Duty.

We got 8 of them in a week or so ago. Nothing "cheap" or "new" about them. Identical gun to all the other P-09's out there. Lipsey's simply got several thousand of them from CZ and had a sale on them at a less than usual dealer price, hence everyone running sales on P-09's.

I got one from Midwest. The beavertail looked sharp in the picture but it's identical to the other one I bought a few years ago

This site just cost me more money.  I have no need for a P-09.  But that price is to good to pass up.  I was saving for a G19 to share mags w/ an AR pistol.  That just got put on the back burner.

With polishing and tuning and a couple minor mods the P-O9 is one awesome pistol !! Send the slide out to Primary Machines have it milled for a Vortex Viper RDS..  OMG !!! Do all of that, and you've taken a really good pistol and turned it into a really awesome shooter . 😎 that's what I have and I carry it everyday!! Sa # 2.8--Da #6.8

Beaver tail isn?t sharp on mine.  Trigger needs a lot of massaging to be acceptable.

I agree with this 100%.  I added the extended firing pin and reduced hammer spring but other than the requisite polishing, it's pretty much stock.  It's butter smooth and shoots WAY better than I do.

My P-09 is my favorite CZ 9mm.  It's just a little large for concealed carry for me, unless the wife and I are just out for a walk in the country.

I meant not cheap if you were insinuating that these are some sort of cheap alternative to any other P-09's out since for some reason everyone has them listed as "duty" models when no such thing exists.

They're the exact same P-09 everyone has been more than happy to pay ~$450+ for for years now.

Yup the Duty confusion comes from the early P-07 variant

Yes, the triggers on P series guns are generally mediocre.  They can be awful. And they can be awesome OTB. It?s roulette.
