Which pistol grip?
« on: October 23, 2018, 01:32:53 PM »
I have my Gen1 EVO3 since it first came out, it still runs on Gen1 magazines like a sewing machine, almost boring.

The only mods I have are the most basic:  HBI safety delete, HBI reduced spring and extended bolt.    Otherwise bone stock.

Have been contemplating an aftermarket grip, but decided to wait for more options available ...  such as molded vs 3D printing, etc...     I guess I am ready to made a decision.

I like to invite some feedback on which one has the most natural angle, width, and built-quality?

Thanks in advance!

I don't have a scorpion, but I'm finding myself increasingly fond of the AR grips with storage in them.

Depends on the carbine/rifle.  Some have storage for batteries because I have a light on the rail.

Some have an oiler, because having lube when you need it is a good thing.

Some have spare parts like an extractor, extractor spring and pin, firing pin, etc.

Depends on the gun, the history/experience of possible needs, but that extra storage could be handy.

Just a suggestion, if they make scorpion grips with storage.....
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I went with the Apex Tactical grip. It feels solid and I installed included grip tape panels for added traction. Happy with the choice.

Factory grip works fine for me. Tried aftermarket and resorted back to stock.

I like the Apex grip as well.  I put a Hogue Handall (the smaller one, IIRC) on it, and I am very happy with it.  The Handall is great for a little added grip, plus adding some size (I have big hands...not huge, but big).

Why, oh why can't I get a nice full size grip with finger grooves?

You can if you buy the $75 grip adapter

Drops the grip down too far for my taste.

Besides, it would be closer to $95 by the time I bought the adapter PLUS the grip.  That's a no go ghost rider.

Oh I agree. Just bustin your chops.

I have the Apex, Im looking at trying something different larger perhaps the Yeti. If someone is interested in a trade something, pm me. Going to online shop this afternoon.

Which grip is about the same size/design as the original with a different grip angle?
