I think MeatAxe was thinking "staked" like a pre-b or old 1911 front sight.

Gotcha. My thoughts were comparing the Novak style side to side to the current 75 vertical one.

I have a 2017 made RAMI and with a universal sight pusher had absolutely no problems replacing the front sight with a fiber optic and the rear sight with trijicon. Worked with both sights without heating or anything else.
As a matter of fact, I will take it to the range with me on Tuesday to make sure that my newly installed rear trijicon is set correctly.

Just an update to this thread. Received my slide back with the new CGW night sights installed. They did a fantastic job and of course the sights are perfectly centered. Really like how the front sight pops now.

Took it out to the range and it's dead on. Got to say that for those who said the supplied factory target is not an accuracy test, in my case yes it was. That's exactly where it shot.

You can also tell that CGW had a difficult time removing the front sight as it's dinged up pretty good. No fault of theirs and I'm happy with the new sights.  :)
