bleep, sometimes I hate to have my suspicions confirmed. On top factory target. Below my target from today. 18 rounds fired off hand 10 yards 6 o'clock hold. The fliers are me getting use to a new gun. The other 14 are clumped together.
Nice shooting smooth pistol. But disappointed in the POA/POI with the sights virtually locked into place from the factory. Took the pistol they brought from the back. Should have looked at the target I guess.
Windage wise, both targets look consistent with the front sight off center to the right. Looks like it's grouping really well at 10 yards off-hand.
Looks like all you need to do is tap the front sight to the left to center it. Like I say, I'd heat the slide up with a heat gun to expand the dovetail and break it free from the front sight piece and use a plastic dowel to gently tap against the front sight so you don't damage the tritium vial.
As far as elevation, if you're aiming at the 6 o'clock point of the circle, it's obviously hitting a bit high. However, I'd settle on a self defense load before changing sights. Lighter, faster +P and NATO loads will actually hit lower than heavier, slower bullets at that range.
