Looking at the picture, you have the old style trigger guard so want to order the Czechmate insert for either the DAA alpha X or race master.
Yeah I noticed that on the DAA site. I find it funny since this was manufactured just last month, yet it's using the "old" frame. I'll have to confirm with their customer service on which holster block to get, but I think you're right.. Aside from that, the gun shoots great!
Took it out today and put around 200 through it between me and my wife. First time shooting .40, but it felt almost exactly the same as shooting 9mm minor. Not sure if it's a combination of having a heavy gun plus thumb rest and all, but I was able to hit pretty decent groups on double taps and clear my 6" plate rack in good time. The gun just eats recoils for a ~178PF major load (factory 180gr ammo chrono'd at ~990fps). This is the first time I've had a gun this accurate out of the box too. I was only shooting at about 10-12 yards, but that thing would land exactly on my point of aim if I slowed down for a good shot. Very, very rarely does a bullet hole appear exactly where I'm aiming with my other guns. I'm talking like I put a bullet dead-center in the head A-box, first try. After throwing up some pasters, I aimed straight in the middle of a lone one and punched a hole right in the middle. It took me a little bit to get used to the sights, since the gap in the rear is a little tighter than I'm used to, as well as the front fiber optic being smaller than I'm used to. Got a little more accustomed to it after the first hundred though! Even the wife was hitting 6" plates at about 10 yards, and normally she can't hit the broad side of a barn lol.
Overall, I'm really loving the gun. The extended safety and thumb rest ended up being exactly where I lay my grip. The only things to change in the future is to tune my recoil springs, compare recoil buffers to see if they make a difference, and get some extended mag baseplates for matches. The recoil tuning will have to come after I finally get some .40 conversions to load on my 1050, but that's another $200+ investment I'm gonna have to make along with everything else for the gun lol.
