Seems like a Powder Cop type setup, that checks the height of powder by feel could be setup (possibly using a special tip) to look for that "step" inside the case.
At the swage station, the backup rod/expander could be fashioned such that the lower part is a bit larger, enough to catch that step of the case, without affecting the resizing part. I guess that requires careful review of the variations of these internal step IDs relative to a normal case. That would be a hard stop on the handle, or a clutch stop on the Mark VII. Problem is there's no market for such a specialized die. Or I can envision a shaft collar with set screw that is JUUUUUST the right size to catch at the step but not at the ID of a normal case, that could be attached to the back up rod. That would probably break within 50 cycles...More trouble than it's worth probably
