Anyword on Subcompact P07 or Single stack?
« on: November 30, 2018, 05:09:35 PM »

Gang, heard whispers here and there, any new insight or rumor as to single stack CZ or sub P07. Not least bit interested in RAMI.

Thanks,
Dave

Only about the P10 series so far.

https://cz-usa.com/product/cz-usa-p-10-series-us-made/

The US Optics-ready P-10S looks pretty cool. Nice stock sights.
Comes milled with a filler-plate and optional RMR or DPPro mount plates and matching height co-witness sights.
Just wish it was a P-07S. But at least CZ is entering Carry-Optics for real.

I wish something like this would come out.  I have continued to carry my S&W j-frame when I can't carry my P-07 but I'd like some smaller semi-auto, either SA/DA or DAO.  I actually did buy a Sig P290RS .380 for around 300$ a couple of months ago, but it wasn't reliable out of the box, and has taken two trips to the factory.  Last year I went down a similar path with a Remington RM380, until I finally gave up and sold it after five trips back to the "factory" or their outsourced gunsmiths actually.  I had 245 rounds without failure through the P290 after my most recent range trip, so after one more trip if I have no failures it may be ready to go into carry rotation, but what I really want is a P-07SC.

Just curious what your reason for wanting something smaller, I think the PO 7 is a perfect size.

I carry my P-07 IWB when my wardrobe allows it, but there are times when I can only pocket-carry something smaller than that.  I normally use a j-frame .38 I have been pocket carrying for around 20 years now, but I've been looking for a newer gun that provides a similar function... preferably a bit thinner and with a bit more capacity.  It also needs to have a 3-fingered grip, lefty-swapped mag release, and be 100% reliable with the ammo I carry in it.

I agree that the P-07 is the perfect size in some cases but not all. My primary carries are now either the P-07 or H&K HK45 however at times that just doesn't work. In those cases it's the XDe .45 and even the Sig P938 at times.
My preference is for a larger pistol but that just doesn't always work.
These days I always carry OWB, all of my IWB holsters are now gathering dust.
