New to the forum and hopefully new to a CZ pistol in the near future. I do not know much about them and figured this forum would be a good place to start learning. I was in a local pawn shop a few days ago and ran across this cz pistol for sale. It appears to be in really good condition. I was told it is a sp01 tactical. I do not know the value of this pistol and was wondering if $376.00 OTD is a good price. I tried to get them down on the price some but the guy is pretty firm on his price. He did say he would throw in 100 rounds of ball ammo to make it a little better for me. Also would this be a good starter pistol for a first time cz buyer. I took a pic of the pistol in question, I hope it helps.
Thanks in advance for the help and advice.

It looks like quite a good price to me. I'm interested to hear what other fourm members have to say on the question.

As to the model, if you want a full size steel duty pistol with a decocker I think the SP-01 Tac is a good option. I own both the safety model and the decocker, both of which I like very much.

Thank you for the picture it tells us alot.

Welcome aboard from MT.
Yep, that?s an SP01 Tactical. At that price and a 100 rounds of ammo, I?d definitely buy it. Buy it and run, cause you stole it[emoji23]
That?s a super good price for ANY used CZ, let alone an SP01 Tac.

Just to add.... if pawn shop prices were like that around here, I?d be in heaven.

Heck of a deal on an SP-01 Tactical. I paid $550 plus tax for a NIB SP-01 safety model. I think they are close in price when new. It looks like there isn't much wear on the outside either. Hopefully welcome to the club.

Hard to judge from just a picture, but unless there is some major functionality issue...I would not be OTD without it.

I'm wanting a good house/truck pistol. Might be able to get back by the pawn shop tomorrow. Are there any wear signs I should be looking for. Also, do ya'll need pics of any other parts. Might be able to get them while I'm there. It did feel real good in the hand.

Really, as long as there?s no cracks in the frame/slide ( have never seen any by the way) and the barrel looks good, you?re probably GTG. The internal springs are cheap and fairly easy to replace. Zooming in, it looks like a 2015 model, and I don?t see any marks on this side anyways, looks to be in great shape from what I can see.
The Tactical will be perfect for what your looking for. If later on down the road you decide you want a range piece (which IMHO it can be just as is) you can throw some CZC or CGW magic in it.

Welcome to the world of CZ, be forewarned, they are addicting.

It is a terrible price, you don't want to buy it.

By the way, where is this shop and when do they open?   O0

for that price, I'd buy it 100%. Is it a 9mm or a .40? Prior to 2017, the SP-01 Tactical came in both flavors.

You better be at the store before they open. This is a fantastic price.
In the mid time, could you re-post that gun picture but in a larger format? This will give us some telltale about its wear.
Pic in route.

It's a 9mm. Don't shoot me for the size of this pic. I'm not to up on this high tech stuff. Let me know what ya'll see.
Guess I need to get my butt on over to the pawn shop first thing... before a bunch of out of town strangers show up. LOL!!!!

That would be a stellar deal. I would be there when the store opens for that price.

Chuck, from what I see it?s in great shape. There?s lots of great reading in the different sections on the forum, and we?re here to help if any issues.

FWIW, any used pistols I get I field strip and spray down with non chlorinated brake cleaner, blow out with an air hose and re-lube. YMMV
The only real weak spot to a CZ can be the trigger return spring. Make sure to add a couple drops to it periodically. Once you do some reading on here you?ll see that there are a ton of different parts you can change out, and lots of good video tutorials. Or, as many do, keep it stock and run it a long time.
Good-luck, and hope it?s still there for you. [emoji6]
