PCR problem, maybe?
« on: December 07, 2018, 07:52:33 PM »
i was at a defensive shooting class today. the gun ran flawlessly however at the end when i was packing up and reloading defensive rounds i noticed this gap.

the gun has about 4000 rds down the pipe. in the picture you can see some powder residue on and near the extractor.
what?s happening here?

i didn?t clean the gun yet so the residue could be seen. is the extractor the culprit to this gap? should i punch it out and clean it while i?m cleaning the gun?

any help would be appreciated.

thanks

That's a perfectly normal gap. Virtually all 6 of my CZ 75 variants including my PCR have that gap. You should see the one in the P-07/09's. About twice that size. No worries just clean it up for the next outing.

well thanks for that reassurance. i looked at my sp-01 too and it has a smaller gap, but still a gap.

i will when i clean the pcr tomorrow punch out the extractor for cleaning just for giggles.

i may also knock out the fp and clean that out too.

i shot my class like crap today.... too much work on my mind i guess.

thanks for your response....i?ve followed your responses to posts and know you admire the pcr. i love it too, great gun!

It is a speed hole. Makes the pistol faster. ;D
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Being able to see the peak-a-boo cartridge case is helping to wean me off of the press check habit.

PCR already has a Loaded Chamber Indicator  ;)

Perfectly normal plus as mentioned you can see the loaded case without a press check.
