75 Omega - curved trigger?
« on: December 12, 2018, 09:43:54 AM »
This doesn't look like the omega trigger on my P-07 or any 75 B Omega I have seen.  I noticed the omega symbol is after the logo on the slide, and the stock photos show the symbol immediately after the B.  Is there a gen 1 model of this gun, or were there changes of some kind?

edit: I swear images on this site ...

It's the discontinued CZ75 Omega model predated the 75B Omega Convertible.

Essentially just the Omega system in a normal 75B, noted by the Omega symbol and black (yet still curved) trigger.

Very cool, so can I put an 85 trigger in it and the other CGW trigger packages?

That pictures shows a thumb safety.  All the old CZ75 Omega's I've seen had decockers, not safeties.  Did they make some with safeties?

If so, that's interesting..but I guess if I felt the urge strong enough the Urban Gray CZ75 would also fill that bill.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

If you look closely at the pic, the trigger pin is different. Pretty sure nothing would cross over from the CGW package for the STD 75. You'd be better off calling or emailing CGW directly. I think the early steel framed Omegas had some unique features.

The triggers are indeed different. The trigger bar/trigger interface is not the same in the Omegas and standard 75 variants and as Earl Keese noted the trigger pin holes are not the same size.

Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

The original version of the 75B ? was safety only. 75B ? decockers didn't exist until the second version.

Right but they have packages they put on omega pistols too, right?  Obviously I will call to confirm, but just spitballing this it stands to reason that if they can do a Pro Package for a P-09 they can do one for any Omega system, no?

They do have Omega parts, yes. Definitely call to confirm what you need for metal framed omegas.

This has come up a few times. Here is some info from past discussion on the topic.

CGW/Omega Steel Frame Parts comparability.  Schmkey

The Omega system is much like the "classic" lock work, i.e. virtually all parts will interchange.  But the 75B/0 metal framed guns do vary slightly from the P-07/09:

1)  The slide only in the 75B/O uses the exact same parts as the classic series, i.e. firing pin, FP spring, barrel, sights, recoil spring, etc.
2)  75B/O grip frame uses the exact same hammer spring rates as the classic 75 models
3)  Lock work parts in the 75B/O will interchange with the P-07/09 perfectly.  The only caveat is the roller, which is different in the 75B/O.  Our rollers will not fit the 75B/O.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)
