Seen this recently elsewhere. Very interesting results but my take away is always the same. Pick a round that is both accurate and reliable in your particular gun and keep in practice. Shot placement is still always paramount to shortening and surviving a self defense encounter.

We had seen that awhile back, but it's been updated since then. As a technical writer, what I really appreciate is that they document their updates. That in itself lends a lot of credibility to their effort.

124 Federal HSTs velocities are so consistent, I use as controls to check my chrono prior to developing loads and trusting my chrono results.

I also find them to be very accurate up to 10 yds.

I also like Federal ammunition.  My choice is the 147 gr. HST.  In fact, they have a rebate in effect right now so I just ordered a few extra boxes.
