Another new P10 model?
« on: December 16, 2018, 10:08:29 AM »
This was certainly interesting to me at least since I like this slide/frame setup.

Edit: zooming in on the slide it does appear to say P10 SC...at least on my phone.

From CZUB's official Instagram.

Interesting, compact frame but long slide. Didn't CZ make a steel framed semi compact 75 too?

Yes. But if I remember right it was the opposite. Compact slide on full size frame.

Original version....Compact slide on full frame. Mostly 1992-1994 and sporadically until around 2004, maybe even until 2007 if I recall correctly? Many are marked as ?SC Massada? on the slide. This one was modified by CZC.

That sure looks interesting. Sure would cheese off the Glock fanboys. Their magical G19 frame/G17 slide. And the mighty hipster CZ beat them to it!

So, it is indeed it's own model!

Same CZUB page in the OP.

I wish I would've known when I bought my P10C a couple months ago...

That's a good catch. Here's some more information on the CZ P-10 SC.

https://www.czub.cz/en/produkty/pistole/semi-compact/cz-p-10-sc.html

It seems that CZ did exactly the opposite of what Glock did when they introduced the G45. Glock took the full size G17 frame and put the shorter G19 slide on it, and for doing that they received a lot of criticism from Glock lovers who wanted a short G19 frame with the longer G17 slide, stating that they wanted the shorter frame so that it wouldn't be as noticeable when carried concealed.

Evidently CZ was listening because the new P-10 SC does exactly that by using the P-10 Compact frame and pairing it with the P-10 Standard slide.

Since then, it seems that people have been warming up to the G45. It is the size that that is popular with law enforcement because it has a full size grip for comfort and control when shooting, and it holds 17 rounds, but it has the slightly shorter barrel so that when they are sitting in their patrol car, the barrel doesn't dig into the seat.

It seems that there are valid reasons for both the long side/short grip version and also the short slide/long grip version.  I wonder if CZ will come out with yet another version of the CZ P-10 to cover all bases.

GlockTalk will explode.

I think that?s a goofy combo but to each their own.

The GlockTalkers think long slide short grip is the Bee?s Knees.

Oh, yeah whining shall be EPIC!

I would only find it useful if concealing in a vertical shoulder holster, IMHO, but the beauty of firearms ownership in America is diversity of choice. If that one is the one that strikes you as the One, go for it and have a great day! :)

Hey, imagine the best of both worlds-- a shorter slide that doesn't dig into the seat, AND a shorter handle for cocealment under shirt!     :o.  JK

You must admit that the 75B SemiCompact and Compact Longslides are much prettier,

I think the P320 has them all beat

With the purchase of a grip you can make a P320 Compact that holds 15 into a P320 Carry that holds 17. Or the 320 Compact slide will fit on the sub compact frame as well

Or if you?re feeling really crazy you can make it into a X Carry.

This is all the same slide a different frames

Very true words. I have no idea where I was going with that. I think I read above something about the Glock 19 X or the Glock 45 etc. and then the wheels fell off the wagon and I started posting nonsense
