Horizontal mag pouch for a PCR?
« on: December 30, 2018, 07:45:10 PM »
I am looking for a horizontal mag pouch, preferably leather, that will fit PCR mags. TT Gunleather has one that looks interesting but I can't find any photos of the backside of it to see how it attaches to a belt.

That would be a Nite Ize flashlight holder from WM for 8 bucks.

Not leather but does the job and under 10 bucks.

Go to TTGunleather home page, select ?Contact Us? and tell Tim to send you the photo. He?s a good guy.

Looks like a great idea. I gotta give it a try. Thanks.

I actually have one of Tim's High ride Removable Snaps for my PCR and agree Tim's a great guy. However I did contact him and he doesn't have any photos of the back side of this carrier.

That looks vertical instead of horizontal.

Look at the back of the packaging card ??.  It rotates 360 degrees.

Easy fix.

Didn't see the rotating part.  That will work.

Personally not a fan of elastic type horizontal mag holders, unless they have a Velcro flap or the like......I've literally had mags fall out of them ones without flaps walking down a street....kinda awkward.  These were specifically designed for mags and horizontal carry.  Something with a snap, clip or Velcro flap would be my option of choice......though I have no idea where to get something like that, other than make it myself.....which isn't out of the question

Most mag holders hold by friction, not a flap. If the mag takes significant force to insert, it?s no worse than any other mag holder.

I purchased a horizontal mag holder from wilderness tactical. Mag is held by friction and I have the same concerns about it securely holding.  I have an itch to add a strong magnet to solve that. Until then it stays home.

Not leather but not a bad looking mag carrier. I have a Wilderness belt. They make nice stuff.
