CZ P-07 vs H&K P30s
« on: January 04, 2019, 04:51:07 PM »
I have the P-07 and love it, converted to C&L, never cared much for the DA pull. I'm thinking of picking up a P30S. Just wondered if anyone has both of these. I'm mostly interested in how they compare in size. I have no issues carrying the P-07 and looking at the specs the P30 seems to be comparable in size. However looking at the pictures the grip on the P30 appears to be a bit longer which would be an issue for me.
Any thoughts?

If you don't like the P-07's DA trigger, I really doubt you'll care much for the P30. I'd definitely recommend shooting, or at least dry firing one before ordering.

I appreciate that but I really don't care about the DA trigger as I carry C&L and have no interest in the DA trigger.
Actually I just compared the H&K specs on the HK45 compact which I have and it works well for me with the P30 and it looks like the P30 should be fine.

The HK P30 with the LEM trigger is outstanding.  Personally, if a P30 wasn't configured with LEM, then it would not be for me.  But that's a personal preference thing.  The P30 is extremely ergonomic and overall, a very excellent pistol.

Again, I appreciate the responses but neither of you have address the question I asked and I have absolutely no interest in the LEM trigger.

Honestly, I don 't think anyone can  answer the question  but you.. While the numbers may show that they're close to each other, they don't tell you how the pistol feels in your hands, how the trigger feels, whether or not the sights line up when you bring the pistol up, etc, Your best bet would be to go to a shop that has one in stock, and compare, or if possible, borrow one, or find a shop with a range that has one for rent, and take one for a test drive before you buy. After all, you're going to be carrying it, not me. So, you may as well be sure it's what you want, before you drop the coin, and figure out later, it's not exactly what you wanted, and now you're stuck with it..   I've been down that road a few times..

I doubt the P30 is big enough to be a problem in carry.  HOWEVER, the P07 size is SLIGHTLY smaller and a tad easier. The P2000 is closer in size.  Also, the P07 holds 15+1 in a slightly smaller package.  The P30 has the same capacity, but is slightly taller/longer in the grip.

OTB - in GENERAL I find the P30 trigger MORE consistent but with a 'springier' feel.  The P07 can vary all over the map in stacking and grit.  EVERY P30 I have ever picked up was smooth and consistent throughout the pull albeit somewhat heavy.

But your question is in SIZE.
