CZ 75 accessories, what?s what?
« on: January 10, 2019, 04:25:38 PM »
Totally new to the CZ line, learning as I go. I?m figuring out what parts can be shared and which can?t slowly.

Besides that there are three things I am looking for:

Grips, VZ and Armory Craft anyone else?
Sights, I?m guessing Dawson?
Holsters, no thoughts here yet

And of course magazines...best price I?ve found is about $17 for the Mecgar (which I was told were great).

Have yet to test it but look forward to doing so soon.  Any website or good companies I should know about (besides Cajun)? Thanks!

Not much activity in the accessories forum that's for sure.
For grips, LOK has the largest selection of profiles, textures, and colors.
For sights, there is Dawson, CZ Custom and Cajun Gun Works(Dawsons made to CGW specs).
MecGar mags are the only other source aside from CZ OEM. MecGar supplies mags to CZ, they are good to go.
Holsters, well that depends on what you're using it for. Lots of options there.

I?m getting the message or should I say the lack of messages. I?m surprised that there are so few brothers who are willing to share . Maybe it?s just lack of interest in this pistol and its possibilities.

Probably not a lack of interest in the pistol or it's capabilities (reliability, accuracy, shootability).

While I see people post pictures of pistols with aftermarket grips I really don't have any interest in them.  All mine wear the factory grips, though I have replaced a couple set of the hard plastic grips with the soft rubber grips.

For sights, I mostly use the night sights CZ sells.  They work, price is good, for night sights.

Mostly people shoot them and then decide they want to slick up the action, not the appearance.  So there's lots of talk here about disassembly, aftermarket action parts, trouble shooting, polishing parts, whatever it takes to make the action smoother, the trigger pull smoother and in some cases lighter.  Also some talk of refinishing, but mostly from people either restoring an older/abused CZ or refinishing one that had some machine work done to it to make mount a red dot style sight.

Check out the sub forums for you pistol model, read some of the threads, you'll see some talk about parts/pieces, where to get them and how to install them.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Greg Cote is usually best for Megar mags.  Wooden grips guy myself so no help there. Have 5 75B's and SP01 Shadow but only the SP01 has anything done to it and that was basically spring and extended firing pin changes.

When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

I have these grips and really like them https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XT9R64N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have bought magazines several times from the guys with good results https://lanbosarmory.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=12114
I bought the same set of grips and like them...also a lot cheaper than some others.

Slowly figuring out the market and what's good. I went with TFX Pros for sights just because I got a great deal on them. Kind of modern looking for the 75BD but they work well. Picked some nice grips, Mags and holster.

Who's Greg Cotes? Mag options are always appreciated.

I'd also recommend these items. Not particularly difficult to install and all kinds of support from Cajun Gun Works and many videos out there on how to.

https://cajungunworks.com/product/floating-trigger-pin/
https://cajungunworks.com/product/rp-trs-reduced-power-trigger-return-spring/
https://cajungunworks.com/product/spgk1-3-piece-spring-kit-2/

I installed all these on my CZ 75B and was so pleased with the results I did the same to my son's CZ75B and my Tristar P100 and P120.

Yeah, I was going to hold off ordering but went with the pro package. I just can?t deal with the trigger length. Figured I?d do it all while I?m in there.

I?m guessing if I can build a 1911 I can smith a CZ. I will say the fit is tight, but nothing outrageous. Currently in education mode to make sure I understand what I?m doing

Not at all impressed with LOK grips.  Fit was terrible and I got zero response from both email addresses - one I got the order confirmation from, the other one listed on their web site as a contact address.  Never again with those folks.

Holsters.  I just bought a G19 holster for my P01 and it fits great.  I suspect a G17 holster will fit my SP01.

I bought buy Don Hume 715 IWB holsters for all my carry pistols.

And there are a lot of CZ grips on Ebay and amazon for much cheaper than VZ or Lok prices.  I have a two G10 1911 grips from Ebay that are awesome.
