Sa tigger 97b

Just noticed cz Europe sells a short reach sa trigger for the various sp 01 guns the 75s, shadow etc. Anyone ever try to fit it to a 97b?

If I'm not mistaken,  I think all the triggers are the same in the metal framed guns. I've used a 75 trigger in a 97 with no issues.

Well, I got my new 97b today and I'm not sure it needs much in the way of work.

The only thing for sure is a reach reduction kit if I keep it double action, but there is little difference between the trigger in double and single action in the 97b factory gun and the trigger on my shadow 2, in which I installed the complete Cajun pro package. It made a big difference in the Shadow, but I'm not sure it's necessary on the 97b. I'll take it to the range and decide after.

The Shadow 2 pro trigger it is a bit crisper, but ever so slightly.

Another thing is that while the 97 grip looks large it's not in my hand, which is medium-sized with a short thumb. The grips do need to be thicker, so I just ordered a pare of palm swells from LOK.

Will update after shooting it. Will do a face off with my 1911. Will try shooting steel in .45 this year! 185 smc loads.

still can't decide whether sa or da. Do wish there was an oversized safety.

Did the pro package. Worth it. Firing pin block lever needed a bit extra work to make it rotate on sear pin. Used a thin, round file. Also did one or two passes with a fine file, followed by polishing, on the flats. Works fine now. Worth it. Great with LOK grips. Kept it DA/SA. Great gun.

I concur. In some cases minor fitting can be required with some of the available triggers, otherwise they should be interchangeable with in the CZ 75 variants.

I had a change to try out the trigger on a CZ 75 TS last weekend and it broke just phenomenally clear.

So could possibly the trigger bar from a CZ 75 TS be used in a 97B? Has anybody ever tried that and did it work out well? This should remove almost all friction from the trigger pull.

This is not really an option unfortunately. The CZ Tac Sport has a different trigger/trigger bar interface, a different Trigger Return Spring set up and a slot inside of the frame for the trigger bar to ride in. It also has a different hammer and believe that the hammer geometry is also differs from the CZ 75 variants.

Thank you for clarification. So at the end the limiting factor is the requirement of milling the frame to guide the trigger bar. All other parts could be replaced.

So I will have to stick with the original trigger bar and it's friction when polished. Or is there any way of reducing the friction even further?
