Compact Shadow Line Upgrades
« on: January 13, 2019, 03:43:06 PM »
I think i'm just about done. What do you think?
I'll be shooting this in IDPA CCP division.

I love the look of the Ghost Hammer and black nitride old style trigger.
CZC's ghost hammer pairs great with the CGW's T5 disconnector.

Looks really sweet Mick!  I do love the look of the CZC Ghost hammer!  What have you done with the internals besides the T5 Disco?

I?m curious how the hammer and Disco changed the reset and SA pull.

I also picked up a Shadowline and added a CZC HTAC rear, CGW UltraLite Kit ( 11.5 lb HS ), RP-TRS, Floating trigger pin and a 10X bushing.  Man what a shooter!!!  I didn?t have the heart to change out the unique Hammer on this pistol, but if I did it would definitely be the Ghost hammer.

Lots of polishing
Adj. sear
11.5 HS
Ext firing pin and spring
RP-TRS
Floating trigger Pin
10X bushing (My stock bushing was terrible)
ghost Hammer
black nitride Old style trigger.
Dawson Front .170"t X .100"W
CZC tactical rear

I'm really liking it.

Very nice 👍

How did that affect the SA and reset?

I did lots of polishing as well and the SA break is lighter than my S2 and my CGW P01 with the Pro Kit

Reset was cut about in half.
My trigger gauge hasn't come in yet but feels about like my SP-01 Shadow it gauged at 2.5#

Looks and sounds like an epic compact CZ.

I am not all familiar with the CZ Shadow Compact is this a CZC build? Is it built on a standard compact frame?

Also I am not sure why but I find one of the sleekest parts of this build is the extended safety(ies? not sure if it is an ambi set), do you know what safety set is being used in this build?

Thanks for sharing!

No it's not a CZC build. It is an alloy frame compact with a non-firing pin block slide.
The safety is an extended Shadow 2 safety that has been cut down by me to fit the required dimensions for IDPA.

Here is a pic that shows how much was shaved off.

Just got my Lyman trigger gauge in.

SA = 2lb. 4oz.
DA - 5lb. 12oz.

That's a 7-8 pull average for both SA and DA.

Wow those are some nice numbers 👍

I like this pistol so much I just grabbed the CZC version 91032.  Definitely my favorite Compact yet.

These are truly some excellent compacts, grab one if you can.  I just picked up a CZC version as well 👍
