I bought this today...
« on: January 23, 2019, 09:10:41 PM »
I bought this today, it’s not a CZ, but it was on my short, short list.  It is a Ruger Redhawk, 2 3/4” inch barrel in .357 magnum.  Oh, and it’s an eight shooter.  8)

Nice! Tank of a wheelgun, for certain. Ruger makes nice revolvers. 8)

I really like the round butt Redhawk revolvers. They just set right in my hands. I have the 45Colt/45ACP 4 inch barreled model with the same style frame. I'd suggest you pick up the Wolff Redhawk reduced power hammer spring set. That and a light polish and lube will quickly make the trigger fantastic.

The 12 pound spring is a touch light and only worked reliably with Federal primers, until I installed a Bowen extended firing pin. The DA trigger is around 8 pounds and the SA a hair over 3. With the 14 pound spring I get a bit over 9 1/2 pound DA and a slightly under 4 pound SA. The extended pin is unnecessary with the heavier spring.

My Super Redhawk is my go-to hog gun (44mag, 9-1/2" barrel).  You are going to love your new piece!

I’m going to the range tomorrow.  I’ll take the new Ruger as well as a couple of CZ’s.  Probably the 97BD and the SP-01 Tactical.  Couple of long arms too.  Range report when I get back.

I am jealous!  Always wanted that one but I could not find it in my budget for another big bore .357

Beautiful gun.  If it's as nice as my son's GP 100, you'll love it.

Very nice. I had a Redhawk .44 mag and now have a Gp100 .357. Both of them are excellent. Frankly, I'd buy another new Ruger wheelgun before I'd buy a new S&W these days.
