Hello and welcome from Georgia(USA). I have a couple Croatian pistols that are a bit unusual. A PHP MV-9 and a PHP VM-17. Fun to shoot and seem to be well made. Kinda like a Walther P38 and Beretta 92 cross. But not. Always get some puzzled looks at the gun range when I exercise them.

Hi!
i got 3 PHP MV (Prvi Hrvatski Pištolj Marko Vuković - eng. First Croatian Pistol Designer Name). Here is a picture. they are unusal because we (croatia) built them during the war under emargo, so it was like "better than nothing".

now there is a Springfield XDM factory, they are made in Croatia.

but i like steel CZs more than croatian plastic :D

Gotta say Croatia's "better than nothing" is pretty bleep good! My PHP s seem to be well made and function flawlessly. I bought them for $250 each and wish I had bought more of them. They came to me in excellent to new condition with holsters in same condition.
Springfield has made a pretty penny off of the excellent Croatian designed and manufactured XDM series. But, like you, I love steel pistols(especially CZ s and clones). I have a 1911 made somewhere around 1916 or so if I remember correctly. Still shootable. Just can't believe any plastic gun will be useable in a hundred years. No plastic I've ever seen lasts that long intact. JMHO.
Wasn't able to see your pic but then that may be my laptop.

I bought a PHP MV a few years ago. Interesting design and functioned well.

I was told that one of the pistols imported by Springfield uses the same magazines.
I don't look like my avatar!
