False start on me lol?
I really apologize for jumping the gun fellas-
I just ran 2 30rd mags back to back and she was absolutely perfect.
Ran smooth as silk. In both semi and rapid fire.
FYI, the misfires were with Federal and the last 2 mags were Winny.
Just indulge me guys, I love this rifle so much lol, I hit the panick button prolly when I shouldn't have.

Everyone wants a dependable rifle, but Does your life depend on it? The misfires would certainly get my attention. I?d keep an eye on it. If it was a duty weapon that you carried daily I?d carry something else til you get it figured out. If it?s a gun that you enjoy but it?s in a safe until you go to the range I certainly wouldn?t lose any sleep over it.

Ah, that's more info than I had originally. Might see if you need some lube inside or if the firing pin has any gunk in it; is it really dirty ammo?

Welcome to the addiction. :)  8)

A question / advice if you dont mind.
Was thinking about putting a Trijicon MRO, the one with 1/3 co-witness.
Is this overkill? And, also, will I need anything else? Will it be the right height?  And, anyone that maybe has an MRO on their Bren, please feel free to chime in.  Thanx.

Why not? If you can afford it, and want it, then go for it. I can'r speak to co-witness, can only say the Bushnell TRS-32, ( I am cheap), co-witnesses quite well.

Thanx guys, I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on her.
As for the MRO, I got to thinking and really it does feel like overkill.
Especially for me anywyas. I just shoot for fun.
I'm really interested in the Bushnell mentioned.
Seeing as the bren was designed for 50 meters, what would be the preferred moa? 1, 2 , 5?
I'm woefully ignorant on red dots. I've never owned one before.

Dare I bring up the subject of red rot device vs. low magnification illuminated scope as a best choice for an optic?

Another 30rd mag x2. All went silky smooth  8)
Up to 320 rounds and just continues to impress.
This is one heckuva well built rifle imo.

I put a Holosun HE510C Optic on mine. Like it better than the Aimpoint and Eotech's Ive run in the past.

Brenfan,

There are lots of choices to consider for your optics strategy.

1. Red dot sight
2. Red dot sight plus magnifier (two separately mounted devices)
3. Illuminated scope with fixed magnification
4. Illuminated scope with variable magnification

They all have their pros/cons (Size, weight, field of view, reticle choices, distortion, co-witness ability, battery life, price, shooters eye sight etc).  Unless you are doing purely CQB of <=50m then a device with some type of magnification may be worth considering.  Arguably a red dot scope with low magnification is more flexible for a range of shooting scenarios.  Below is a link to an article with a pretty good set of examples:

Thank you!  I'll check out the link.
I'm super interested now in the Vortex Spitfire 1x Prism.
I've had excellent experience with Vortex in the past.
What do yall think about the Vortex Spitfire Prism 1x?

She?s absolutely gorgeous!!! Very nice indeed. I?m going to need me a Bren one of these days also, love your FDE example, may also go the same route.
I’ve got a few CZ’s...

Thank you Sango!
I honestly cannot put this rifle down lol.
Its prolly the best firearm I've ever bought save my M1A Scout and a Sig P229 Sport.  Just so darn smooth and soft.

After looking and studying, I dont think a prism optic is whatbI need.
That being said, I'm about 99% sure I'll get a Vortex Strikefire 2.
I considered the Spark 2 as well. But, seems the Strikefire will co-witness and has a large field of view for easy acquisition.

You've all motivated. Just picked one up online... now to decide if the Dan Haga lower is worth it.
