Tomorrow is a new day. I?m going to wake up, put on my gun, carry all day, take it off and go to bed.

Good man!  ;)

She will get used to it.
 ;)

Only YOU are responsible for the safety of self and loved ones.  The cops have NO such responsibility to protect any individual not in their custody.  Generally, they arrive only after the bad guy has done her deed.

I didn't let my wife know when I started carrying either. I wanted to see how long she would take in noticing. She never did, so I explained it to her before she ever saw it taking place. My main reason to start carrying was that I work, after hour,s in practices that house drugs & a couple have been robbed...

As she is a city girl, she just thought it to be my country boy nature so I didn't catch flak for it. I do get the eyeroll when she thinks I am going overboard, but it doesn't stop me as my family's protection is my responsibility...

Very recently, my outdoor camera took some great video of scum going through her car. They checked my truck but it is always locked. She felt violated, but it took this drastic step for her to start locking her car, since she never listened to me about it.
The coolest part: scum was convicted this past week because of my video...

Had a girlfriend years ago who was vehemently anti gun. There was no reasoning with her position on any level. Finally she said one evening either my guns had to go or she could not continue the relationship.
I replied that I would remember her everytime I cleaned my guns.

"Most awesome dumping", I've ever seen in writing! (typing , script, etc.)

My wife is awesome, she paid for my CC class, and just recently bought me a Sig P365 for even more concealed carry. She knows it is my job to keep her safe, and that if the situation calls for it I would do what needs to be done.

I tell my beloved that it is all about accessorizing and I like the way my holster matches my shoes.

I'm a certifiable gun nut. My wife is mostly uninterested in such. When I started carrying about 20 years ago, she was curious as to why but didn't object. Took me a little while to "train" her to always let me sit in restaurants facing the door. Also to not put her self in the line of fire between myself and potential "problems". Have never had to use it or even pull it. She says it makes her feel safer knowing I have it. Interestingly, the "monster-in-law is somewhat anti-gun and has said she also feels safer knowing I'm carrying around her. One of the gun magazine writers(can't remember which) said when asked why he carries answers, "Because you won't." Brilliant.

She?s over it now I think. By the way, she knew this was coming. She knew I bought a smaller gun (PCR) so that I could carry it, she knew that I got my license, she saw me the day before putting Loctite on my holster screws. I intentionally wore a shirt that was very short so that she would see it last week. What she didn?t realize, apparently, was that I was going to wear it around the house. Well...I am. She?s starting to get used to it. All is well.

The only person you can depend on to protect yourself and your family is YOU.  So be ready.  Accept that, and be ready.  If nothing every happens, be thankful.  But be ready.  You may not get a second chance.

Well said.
