Sharing my personal SP-01 Tactical
« on: January 31, 2019, 05:30:19 PM »
Mostly I spend my time making other people's guns nice. Rarely do I have time for my own projects. But I managed to get this done for myself.

SP-01 Tactical with Primary Machine slide cuts, DP Pro milling, and triple black multicam cerakote and CGW Pro Kit.

Very Handsome!
Will you be adding the optional DPpro rear iron (unless I just can't see it in this view), or just using the tall front sight as a reference?  -Vinny

Nah, I milled a notch in the center of the plastic piece on the DP pro and color filled it white.

Yeah, that beats an extra $80 for a cheesy piece of metal. But nice that they're windage and elevation adjustable BUIS.

The DPP on an SP-01 Tac is a really nice combo.

Nicely Done!
Thanks for posting.

Once you have the presentation and sight picture memorized, it's surprising how accurate a setup like that can be, considering they're BUIS.

Here's a similar set-up Primary did for my P-07 & P-09 with the lines that come on Venom's.

No doubt. It won't win you a bulls eye competition. But it's plenty combat accurate.

Nice work on the slide cuts too.

I haven't gone down that road (yet), but I believe new Carry-Optics rules allow them?
How much weight reduction?

OEM weight is 40.5oz (I assume that includes mag.)

It's at 41.1oz right now with optic and empty mag. (No light.)
So only .6oz heavier than factory with a 2oz optic and a heavier stainless guide rod than the factory plastic one. Also I'm pretty sure the aluminum grips are about a half ounce heavier than the factory rubber ones as well.

Thanks guys. Put 350 rounds through it yesterday. Hitting steel silhouettes at 50 yards in double action, and single handed with no problem.
10?x13? silhouettes at 75 yards in SA with no effort. Gun seems to be ridiculously accurate super fun with the red dot.
