I see. So the indicator that the set screw has lost the threading is that it never stops turning?
Sooo.... hearkening back to a reference to another thread, a guy thought his screw was too short when in fact he was using the wrong size Allen wrench. That guy wasn?t me specifically but it coulda been. When I took the small set screw out to check it, I did discover that I was, in fact, using the wrong size wrench (metric vs std). Using the correct hex key, I could in fact tighten it down.
But, I still felt like the set screw was not catching enough threads to be robust, so I?m still happier with the 3/8? length.
