Raising POA to POI - taller front sight
« on: February 08, 2019, 05:31:19 PM »
My P07 POI is a good 5? above POA at anything inside 20 meters.  I?m more of a put the sight on the center guy from years of Agent sights on a G19.

Question, is there a taller front sight for the 07?

Would this one be taller than the stock one and fit the 07?

019-425 Dawson Precision Tritium Front Sight for CZ P-10 C

Any other options?

So you're using a combat sight picture?

Sounds like your sights are six o'clock hold picture.

The Dawson competition sight front and rear sets are all combat sight picture.

Determine the POI with your ammo of choice

Determine the actual POA with the ammo of your choice

Calculate the difference between these two points

Refer to the "sight calculator" feature on Dawson Precision's website.  Be certain to include the distance at which you are measuring POI and POA.
This will help you determine what height front sight you need for your bullet to strike at your desired POI.

Cruise various websites (Dawson, CZ Custom, Cajun Gun Works, Trijicon, Ameriglo, etc.) to find a sight of the proper height and desired width that will fit your pistol

Thank you!  Very helpful!

Lacking a caliper, does anyone know where to go to find the stock sight height?
