Excellent initial post with graphics, and an excellent thread.  Very timely and helpful as I'm considering cleaning up my P-09.

"Clean up". Don't consider it, do it. You'll be glad you did.

I did that with both my P-07 and P-09 and am dang glad that I did. They went from good shooting to great shooting.

Did it.  Short reset parts and firing pin and spring and trigger return spring and 18lb hammer spring and new plunger spring.  Totally worth it.  Made my P-09 into a smooth, sweet pistol.  Still need to range test it but I have a feeling it’s going to be grand.

This thread helped to convince me to pull the trigger (pun intended) on a short reset kit in my P-07's as well.  I wanted to reduce the overtravel on my P-07 triggers and from the animations in this thread concluded that this may help without installing an alternate trigger with an overtravel screw.  It does seem to have helped.  I didn't clamp my pistol into a vise and take caliper measurements as the OP did, but I did install the SRK in one pistol and tested it by feel side-by-side with my other pistol that didn't have the SRK installed.  Now I need to get around to buying the SRK and putting into my second pistol.

Did you replace the roller as well?  I didn't, but now am considering it, but not sure what effect that would have.

Yes, I had measured the DA rollers and replaced them in both of my pistols a few years ago, along with installing CGW hammers, hammer springs,  TRS, increased rate sear springs, firing pin return springs, firing pin block plunger springs, etc... but was running the stock firing pins, lifters, and disconnectors.  For me, the DA rollers improved the smoothness of the DA pull quite a bit, along with the 15 lb hammer springs which need to be paired with the reduced rate FP return spring.

For the rollers, you really need to measure your original roller, and not go much under or over that size.  From my understanding, too small of a roller will cause malfunctions like a premature hammer drop, while too large of a roller causes greatly increased stacking which is counterproductive for improving the DA trigger pull.

Interesting.  Thanks.  My roller is .224" so I was going to order the .225" one from Cajun if it turned out to make that big of a difference.  My DA pull isn't horrible as-is and I'm running it with the manual safety installed, so it's predominantly a SA pistol w/safety now and the DA won't get much use.  That said, I'm not opposed to replacing the roller if it makes a significant difference in the DA pull smoothness.
