P-06 - what to do about magazines?
« on: February 04, 2019, 06:00:13 PM »
I am officially in lust with this gun.  I have a line on one, but it has no mag.  I have seen mention of MecGar mags that hold 12 rounds but it doesn't look like they are available anywhere.

Hey I own aerospace arms and have been a long time member here as well. Tho we don't sell handgun stuff for the most part I do offer cz mags (mec gar) at cost, pretty much just for the cz community here or anyone that find it in our clearance section

I had to look it up from one of our distributor but they do have 3 12rd 40sw mec gar mags they should run about 22 bucks which seems silly since we sell the 16rd standard 75b mags for 17 bucks but that's just how it works sometimes. If you want me to hook ya up just shoot me a pm

CZ/Mec-Gar is selling the new flush fit 15 rd 9mm/11 rd .40 mags for around $43 now. Thats why you can't find the 12 rounders.

Well I was just looking for MecGar mags in general and didn't see those either - do you have a link or a part number?  Should I be looking for something else like P-01 mags?

FACTORY MAGAZINE 11123. These magazines are for both the CZ 75 Compact 9mm and the CZ P-06 .40 S&W.

I get them at Greg Cote LLC. I switched over to these because they fit in both guns, just have to pay attention to what you have loaded.

Ohiodff....have you shot a P06, yet? I have PCR [CZ Custom), SDP, Cagunized P01 Omega, P01 Suppressor-ready  and the P06.  The.  40 S&W P06, w/ short beavertail bites into the 'web' part of my hand and is a bit painful to shoot, as compared to the 9mm compacts. Yep, maybe I'm a wus.

So my 14 round MecGar also hold 40 S&W - only 10 rounds though.  I haven't tried to chamber a round from them yet because I don't need a new hole in my basement so I will try this first at the range.  Have you tried interchanging other mags than the 11123?  I don't really want to spend $45 per when I have so many mags already.

The new mags are specifically designed and marked for use of both calibers, 15 rounds of 9mm and 11 rounds of .40 S&W. My understanding is the feed lip design is different in the new mags. I enjoy my hands in one piece and don't feel like risking a chamber failure to save a few bucks.

I found that the 14 round MecGar's don't work, the round sits too low in the lip so I didn't try.  However, the stock mags that came with the PCR will hold 10 rounds of 40 S&W and feed fine.  The 11123 is probably this same mag with some adjustment to the spring/follower to fit the extra round, like the P-07 coming with 15 round mags but CZ Web having 16 rounders readily available.  I'll be grabbing a couple of the 11123 from Greg Cote too.

Got my P06 in yesterday and put some rounds through this afternoon. The 14 round MecGar 9mm mags ran just fine with no issues through mine.
