Comparing my .40 P07 to my G23.3
« on: February 15, 2019, 12:25:06 PM »
I did a quick range trip this morning to run my .40 P07 against one of my .40 Glock 23s.  This particular Glock 23 is a Gen 3 and has about 3000 rounds through it without so much as a hiccup.  My .40 P07 is a Gen II and has had some initial issues that seem to be behind it.

In recent months, I seem to be shooting the P07 better than the G23.  Today was the day to find out definitively if that was true.  Turns out, today was not really the day as the G23 just would not run well.  I could not get through a complete mag using ammo that I reload to match Federal HST in OAL, performance and bullet profile.  I have no idea what might be happening with it, but I guess it could be due for an RSA maybe.

The P07 (and P09 that was also along for the trip) ran beautifully and comparing the P07 to the G23 for the few rounds I could get to run through it, the P07 did feel better to me.  I was able to hit more consistently in both slow and rapid fire although, I really never got to do much rapid fire with the G23 today.

I have to say that every time I shoot the P07, I come away more and more impressed with this platform.  I sure do wish CZ would have followed through on the promised .40 P10C.
