Tanfoglio stock 3
« on: February 15, 2019, 06:34:06 PM »
I traded into a shadow 2 and a week later, on a impulse ordered a Tanfoglio stock 3. I don't know why yet...
Out of the box the trigger felt heavier in SA and DA compared to the shadow 2. It felt good in the hand, but the grip is larger. I probably have normal man hands wearing a size large glove, but am thinking about ordering thin grips from Lok. Black partridge front sight has to go. At my age F.O. front sights are magic. Pistol was slathered with some tacky preservative inside and out. Broke it down and sprayed everything with brake cleaner. Blew it dry then sprayed it with Rem oil. Wiped it down and assembled. Trigger is already smoother!
It's supposed to rain all weekend, so to shoot the both of them I'll have to do a indoor range. I hate indoor ranges. Have to work the coming weekend, but in 2 weeks I'm hoping to have them both at my club's steel bay. Should be fun!

Congrats on the purchase.

You will find that just like a Shadow, you will need a bunch of parts and some polishing to get that light yet smooth trigger that CZ and Tanfo fans love.
