I'm debating on selling my original P10c in order to fund the purchase of the new optics ready model. While mine runs flawlessly (with one minor exception), I'd really like to have an optics ready pistol - as I currently don't have any. The only exception I have with mine is the darn trigger bite. I've considered buying the new G10 gen II trigger by CGW, but with all things considered, I think I'd be better off just selling my current P10c and buying the "new" version, with all of it's updates. (Edit) Also, I'd like to be able to use the P10c as a defensive pistol, and as such, don't want to modify the trigger in any way.
However, I have a question regarding magazine compatibility that I'd like confirmed. Based on what I've read, the original P10c magazines are NOT compatible with the new model because of the redesigned magazine release (reversible vs. ambidextrous). Also, it seems as if the P07 magazines won't fit into the newer model P10c either. I have a P07 with two extra mags (total of 4), and I have two extra mags for my P10c (total of 4). I had HBI modify my P07 magazines so they'd fit into my P10c. If I sell my P10c, I'd probably just end up including the two extra mags in with the deal. Another reason I'm considering the update is, I'm interested in selling my M&P 9c (original 12 round) in order to buy the new optics ready P10s. Besides the -9c, I'm not invested in the M&P "system" at all - so selling the -9c wouldn't result in any loss for me. While the M&P line is certainly a good choice for many, I've only felt them to be a somewhat "meh" pistol (no offense to S&W fans meant).
Any "on topic" inputs are welcome.
