Earl Keese sent me a 75B Shadow Springer dovetail mount to try on the P-10F slide while waiting for the CZ OR adapter plates. Earl's mount arrived today, three days earlier than expected, and, with just a little fitting, fits the P-10F slide dovetail perfectly. This will allow me to shoot the gun Sunday with the red dot from my P-09 before tending to other commitments for a week. With a proper red dot mount, I should be able to shoot 5 good shots for several targets, instead of 3 or 4 good shots and one or two high or low.
On Thursday, while installing a prototype JReeves striker body, I, of course, launched the tiny fpsb spring in my dirty shop. Today, while installing Earl's sight mount, I found the tiny spring on the floor!!!
So, two good surprises today, and not much wind in the forecast for Sunday morning, not too cold, not too warm...just right. One more striker gun range trip is now the plan. I'll sight in the red dot, then shoot some 50 yard targets from a rest, then time for some bullseye practice and testing the 124 gr Fiocci JHP ammo. If the results are good, there will be some video. If not, well you won't hear much from me for a week or so.
Now, if I can just find a P-10S...
