Bicycle inner tube

Anyone else prefer bike inner tube over talon grips or the other options? I much prefer inner tube and it?s basically free.

I tried it years ago on glocks before the days of stick on grips. My issue was when my hands get sweaty in the summer heat the smooth inner tube is quite slippery. David

Rubber feels great...

Then when you really need a grip, like in heavy rain mixed with a little blood, it turns to a greased pig, and you can't get a grip. This keep this in minf about rubber.

For the range if your hands are a tad sweaty?  Fine.  Serious use - not so much.

Turn it inside out. I use it to fill up the finger grooves on my Gen IV Glocks.

I use it on 2 of my carry guns.  It's a big improvement for me

I have inner tubes as a sleeve on my ARs, EVO as there is not, to my knowledge, a grip sleeve made for those. It is just a small thing, I mainly use those as a two fold measure; adding a bit of grip texture and thickening the grip a little.

On my polymer pistols, CZ, Glock, Canik, S&W, I use either Traction or Talon stick ons, on the Glock I have a no name textured/ribbed with holes slip on grip. It might not be there too much longer as it can be twisted and is sliding about. It has been on there quite a while, does not get carried much. I have a Hogue grip on my S&W that makes it fit my hand like the palm swells on the rubber factory grips of the CZ75. May look for one of those Hogue grips for the Glock.

I installed an inner tube on the range only P10c one. Much comfortable than without. It?s a range toy so no big deal.

That hasn?t been my experience. On the river on an inner tube with nothing but air inside of it, sure. But, wrapped around something hard, not so much.

Range toy, go for it... carry gun, I'd shy away.

We had a guy at a class this past summer with one on his gun. It ended up sliding up during one of the courses or fire, depressing the mag release, dropping the mag and keeping the button depressed enough to causing the gun to be a useless slippery brick. He cut it off and was good the rest of the day.

I've tried both on my P-07. Much prefer the Talon grips.

I had an older Hogue Handall grip, originally meant for full-sized Glocks, on one of my P-07's for a while.  It fit without trimming.  It was okay at first, but the rubber loosened up over time and it started sliding around some.  I tried a newer model of the same Hogue Handall and it didn't fit correctly around the beaver tail... ended up destroying it by trying to trim it to fit.  Then I read that the Handall "Tactical" grip would fit the P-07 better, and indeed it does, at least after trimming a bit around the mag well.  I have one on each of my P-07's and neither has been a problem.  They stay where I put them and haven't loosened up over time like the previous one.

will personally never go there again. Not even talon grip,,,  get you a soldering bit and self stipple that sucker -:).  you can do a miracle in less than 20 minutes. just simple stuff but gives solid grip.  All my polymer CZs the P07. P09 &  Phantom were self stippled.  Unless you are thinking of selling down the road then u might want to spend more time doing it. stay frosty my peoples
