pre b change from wide to narrow hammer, year/sn?

When was this change made? Did the change in sights happen at the same time? Thanks

From what I've observed the change from wide to narrow hammer occurred 1987 - 1988. Not sure what change in sights you refer to...if its the pinned front sight that was introduced around 1992.

rear site with 2 dots and front site with groove in ramp, but still without pin . Think I read somewhere that the firing pin was changed a bit when they went to to slim hammer, but retained in the same way
