CZ 75B SA or CZ75 Shadow2 for USPSA
« on: March 01, 2019, 06:50:30 AM »
I have been overseas for 3 years. An avid CZ fan I returned a month ago to the variety of CZ 9mm  full size pistol option to have exploded. For use in Production USPSA what do you think would be my best purchases?
I have the 2 in the title as that is what I think from reading but I really need to hear from those who use the. Please school on best options as in best pistols to purchase. I already have these (all stock) CZ75BD, CZ 75 Pre B (1986), CZ Sp01 Phantom. Maybe having them modified by custom shop or Cajunized is the answer  Thanks in advance.

CZ 75b SA isn?t production legal because your first pull has to be in DA.  The Shadow 2 was designed specifically for the division you are asking about and CZ offers not factory gun that?s any better suited for USPSA production

I thought based on comments in USPSA threads that the Shadow 2 might be the best.. but it is also the most expensive. I suppose you get what you pay for.
But I am also a SA only fan and wonder the CZ 75B SAO  performs in comparison to a 1911?

Thanks for the response.

If you want SAO, just get a .40 and run limited.  It can get much pricier than the S2 when you run limited or open

I?m shooting a Shadow 2 in prod division and also have a 75 Shadow (short dust cover).  For me, there?s no comparison.  The S2 shoots flatter and less felt recoil than the 75 Shadow. The 4 oz difference with majority of that in the muzzle end no doubt contributes.

That said, I still like the 75 Shadow.

For production....Shadow 2
cant go SAO in production sorry...?..just read the rest of thread and I'm late to the party, sorry.

ebj is right in his or her assessment
as far as price goes if you don't want to spend the money don't consider the option easy peasy.

Good Luck and good shooting
