Decocking while shooting
« on: March 07, 2019, 12:26:09 PM »
I sent my P-01omega in for the defensive cary package and it has been wonderful, except when I have been in some training classes it tends to decock randomly after firing a shot (hammer in half cock position not full cock). It seems to happen more when I am firing faster but that could just be imagining it. I first noticed it in a class the end of last year and went and cleaned it hoping that would fix it. I have shot it a few times here and there at the range and no problems. I went to a class last night and it did it again. I carry the pistol every day and it is time for a cleaning but I am worried that something is not right. Any ideas what could be happening.

Is your thump close too or resting on the decock lever? I would think just the right amount of down ward pressure would allow the hammer to drop to safe position when firing.  Just a theory

That's what I originally thought but my grip does not usually contact it. I hope that is all it is but I dont think that is the case. It never happened before the work was done and does not happen wimhen I shoot my PCR.
