Compact palm swells - NOT LOK
« on: March 09, 2019, 10:25:06 AM »
I refuse to get LOK grips due to past product quality and customer service experience, but I'd like to get some palm swells for my P-06.  I got one of the Cool Hand sets from Amazon:

I wasn't a big fan of how aggressive they are and the color is very similar to the CGW grips I already have.  There's also but they have the similar color conflict.

So tl:dr version I need some recommendations.

CZ 85 Combat
CZ 97B
Colt King Cobra 6" .357 magnum
A bunch of inferior pistols

I've settled for a LOK pair on my TS. Not real happy but who else makes them for the TS. I'll look at Cool Hand.

You could use sandpaper to reduce the sharp corners of your grips. And it is possible to RIT Dye G10, which most of these grips are made of. But you can't dye it any lighter than it started, only darker. Just today I used yellow dye to make my FDE grips more of a dark mustard color, which isn't what I was going for, but it's still an improvement.

I have both the lok and cool hand grips on my compacts. Pic shown in the 4th post here:

I prefer the looks of the coolhand on my cajunized PCR to be honest and have been happy with them. I don’t find them too abrasive at all- I shoot idpa with my guns, but carry OWB too.

Good luck and let us know what you decide to do
