What's the difference between an 1100 and an 1187?

Good morning all! Many of you probably already know the difference between these two models, but I put this together over the weekend just for anyone who might have a question.

I never knew the difference between the two Remingtons.  Thanks for the education.

Same here!  I was always wondering what they were.  I have an early 1980's vintage Remington 1100 that has always worked well for me.
My BIL has been pestering me to sell it to him and I won't sell.  I think I'll get him to watch this video and then get him to go buy an 1187.
