Are all bullets shot out of a Scorpion Micro Subsonic?
« on: March 14, 2019, 10:09:53 PM »
I recently came across this youtube review of the Scorpion Micro () and the reviewer (at a bit before the 1-minute mark) mentions that the gun has a 3-inch barrel to "help keep all ammunition subsonic". However, the CZ website describes the micro as having a 4-inch barrel. I haven't been able to measure mine as I do not want to get into removing the barrel shroud, it came loose on me after a day at the range and I've tightened it as much as I could.

I searched through this forum and found this answer by John A. https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=98385.msg759197#msg759197 where he provides great info on the topic. Although they are discussing the HBI 5-inch micro barrel, he makes the point that a 3-inch is needed to keep EVERYTHING subsonic, but I wonder how that will apply to the Scorpion's advertised 4-inch barrel. If the micro can keep all ammunition subsonic or maybe just the higher grain ammo then it would be an even better suppressor host than I originally realized.

Almost all 115gr is still going to be super.  Hot loads like the 124gr HST will still be super in a 3" barrel.

On my 3.3" glock 43 Federal 115 is running 1080FPS  (4" glock 19 is 1150)

Agreed with above. Almost any 115 to 124 grain loads will still be supersonic. 147 should be all sub. It has a 4" barrel.
