I recently came across this youtube review of the Scorpion Micro (
) and the reviewer (at a bit before the 1-minute mark) mentions that the gun has a 3-inch barrel to "help keep all ammunition subsonic". However, the CZ website describes the micro as having a 4-inch barrel. I haven't been able to measure mine as I do not want to get into removing the barrel shroud, it came loose on me after a day at the range and I've tightened it as much as I could.
I searched through this forum and found this answer by John A.
https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=98385.msg759197#msg759197 where he provides great info on the topic. Although they are discussing the HBI 5-inch micro barrel, he makes the point that a 3-inch is needed to keep EVERYTHING subsonic, but I wonder how that will apply to the Scorpion's advertised 4-inch barrel. If the micro can keep all ammunition subsonic or maybe just the higher grain ammo then it would be an even better suppressor host than I originally realized.
